UK-based artist David Barton, aka Limpfish, digitally alters iconic works of art, replacing the subjects of the paintings and photos with equally famous pop culture characters from Star Wars, The Simpsons, and more. Woman with a Parasol by Claude Monet becomes Monet’s Vader with a Parasol. One of Vincent van Gogh’s self-portraits becomes Grounds Keeper Willie van Gogh.
Barton also re-worked A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat, the painting Cameron Frye fixates on in the movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, to include Cameron himself, becoming Seurat’s Monday Morning in Chicago:
